For those who couldn’t attend Vision Night, here’s what you missed (other than some great company and delicious tacos).
Our model of church is what some would call “micro-church” or “home churches”. These are gatherings in homes or a spot conducive for these 3 elements: worship, community, and mission. Meaning, each gathering is a church that:
Worships together weekly.
Are in community with one another.
They are on mission together.
Worship is our upward focus, and at United, we proclaim, praise, and pray the name of Jesus.
Community is our inward forcus, learning to love and forgive one another as Jesus loves and forgives us—being United.
Mission is our outward focus, loving our neighbor and being a light in our homes, communities, and workplaces as we invite others to discover and pursue Jesus.
As the planter of United, Mario will be the lead pastor, shepherding and equipping the church while identifying and training those called to pastor other United groups and/or vocational ministry.
